I had no clue about this! Interesting!

Living in a house with a lush garden can be a delight, but when moles decide to make your garden their new home, it can quickly turn into a nightmare. These small creatures are notorious for digging tunnels and disrupting the roots of your plants and flowers. While there are various commercial products available to tackle this issue, they are not always effective and can be expensive. Fortunately, there’s a simple, time-tested trick that my nana used to repel moles, and it takes just 4 minutes with zero effort.
You might be skeptical about the simplicity of this trick, but trust me, it’s worth a shot. This technique is not only quick and easy but also safe for your plants, pets, and the environment. Keep reading to find out how you can save your garden from these pesky invaders with minimal effort.
Materials Needed:
1. Bar of soap (preferably deodorant soap)
2. Cheese grater or kitchen knife
3. Garden gloves (optional)
4. Watering can or hose
Steps to Repel Moles:
1. Take a bar of deodorant soap and grate it using a cheese grater. If you don’t have a grater, you can also use a knife to shave off thin slices.
2. Sprinkle the soap shavings generously around the affected areas where you have noticed mole activity or where you want to prevent them from entering.
3. For added efficiency, water the treated areas lightly. The moisture will help disperse the soap scent into the soil.
4. Repeat this process once a week or after heavy rainfall to ensure the deterrent remains effective.
Why This Works:
The strong scent of the deodorant soap is unpleasant to moles and will encourage them to move away from your garden area. This method is humane, cost-effective, and doesn’t involve any harmful chemicals, making it safe for your plants and other garden visitors.
Give this trick a try, and you may find that just like my nana, you too can enjoy a mole-free garden with minimal effort. Happy gardening!
